Join a dynamic, creative space where actors grades 5-8 collaborate, create, and perform! In this class, we’ll strengthen our actor’s tools—body, voice, imagination, and face—while exploring “playmaking,” a style of theatre called devising. Through ensemble-driven exercises, students will build original scenes, stories, or even a full production, showcasing their unique talents and creativity on stage. Get ready to create, perform, and inspire!
Throughout the class, we’ll explore:
Body: Learn how to use your whole body to express emotions, actions, and create interesting characters.
Voice: Develop your vocal skills, including projection, clarity, and using your voice to convey different moods and personalities.
Imagination: The tool that every great creative person needs to unleash their wildest ideas!
Facial Expressions: Discover how your face can be a powerful tool in communicating emotions and adding depth to your characters.
This class is wonderful for young performers who are eager to explore the world of acting in a fun, supportive environment. Whether you’re just starting out or looking to build on your skills, this class will equip you with the tools you need to shine on stage!
